ABOUT COLIN
Colin is a mentor, best-selling author and angel investor. He is focused on helping young people to achieve success on their terms, and works in two distinct areas:
Sixth form & university students:
helping sixth form and university students to find direction, to focus on their strengths and build the confidence to chase their dreams;
providing talks and programmes working with schools and universities to help students build a ‘work-ready mindset’ - developing the skills required to transition into the working environment;
working with companies looking to attract and retain Gen-Z school leavers and graduates as part of a remote and hybrid workforce, during the pandemic and beyond.
Entrepreneurs:
working with Gen-Z and Millennial Entrepreneurs as a mentor and adviser, helping to develop businesses which combine commercial, community and environmental goals.

Colin works with students to help find direction. As part of this process, there is a strong focus on understanding core beliefs, strengths and aspirations. This combination of building a solid foundation, combined with the ability to set a direction of travel, provide the basis for a future based on success on your terms.
The working environment is predicated on teamwork. The Dynamic Team Questionnaire is designed to show your strengths based on six personality traits. This will be valuable in assessing your fit within any team, whether you are joining a company, or building your own company. It will show you how to play to your strengths, and in turn how this will translate into the the remote and distributed working environment.
Colin also works with schools, universities, and companies to help foster understanding and build intergenerational collaboration, helping companies to attract, retain and engage Gen-Z talent and increase employee engagement. Colin provides keynotes, workshops and educational programmes, as well as helping leadership teams looking for practical advice, mentoring or investment.

What does success mean to you?
When I was in my twenties, my definition of success was having my own house, mortgage, nice cars, long-haul travel and a comfortable lifestyle. Then came the family, dogs, a larger house, larger mortgage, and before you know it you've lost sight of what you were doing it all for.
Looking back, aside from my daughters and some fond memories, the other things that seemed so important at the time mean little to me now.
Today, I'm focused on finding enjoyment, being fit and healthy, my children’s happiness, learning, reading, and helping others to chase their dreams and have a positive impact on the world.
Sound cliched? Perhaps, but to all those leaving school or university, or looking for a change of direction, take the opportunity to think bigger, to solve real problems, to chase your dreams and to achieve success on your own terms.
